Enrolling students into an assessment

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2018 10:18PM EDT

Please note:

  • Crowdmark requires a list of emails of students who will write an assessment.
  • No emails will be sent to your students until you are ready to distribute the grades back to them, nor will students see the assessment in their course on Crowdmark.
  • Crowdmark has been integrated with learning management systems at many schools to automate this step. If you would like this functionality available for your school, please contact us at

During the assessment setup process, you will be asked to provide a list of student emails for the students who will write this assessment. The number of students you enroll will determine how many booklets Crowdmark will generate for printing (you can add extra booklets in the Generate step).

Once you've entered the list you should see the number at the bottom of the text area update to show how many emails were found in the list.

Clicking Next will enroll the students.

If you don't know where to find a list of your students' emails or you have too many students to collect this list manually please contact your school's IT department. They can likely generate a list of student email addresses for you.

Adding students later on

You can also add students after the setup is finished. See Adding new students.

Adding additional student information (metadata)

After the setup is finished, it is possible to import more detailed information (such as name and student number) to supplement the roster of student emails. To learn more, see Adding student metadata.
